  • Crystal McKinnon

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Crystal MacKinnon oversees strategic direction and drives the organization’s mission to expand digital access and equity. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and is a certified community mediator. As a proud Mexican American with both professional and lived experience, Crystal brings an unflinching commitment to systems change and community-rooted leadership. Her background includes advocacy, mutual aid, and grassroots organizing in support of historically marginalized communities.

    Crystal also serves as Secretary of the Executive Board for both Asheville PEAK Academy and the Institute for Preventative Health Advocacy (IFPHA), and is a Board Director for the Center for Participatory Change in Asheville.

  • Stephanie Carter

    PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Stephanie Carter is the Program Director at The Connectivity Project (TCP), where she has played a pivotal role since the organization’s founding. Beginning as a volunteer, Stephanie helped design and grow TCP’s programming with a focus on practical, people-centered solutions. Her lived experience navigating systemic barriers gives her unique insight into the challenges the organization addresses every day. Before joining TCP full time, Stephanie was a business owner and held leadership roles in management, equipping her with strong operational and team-building skills. She brings clarity, compassion, and grounded expertise to her work, ensuring TCP’s programs remain both effective and responsive.

  • Adonis Lewis II

    COMMUNICATION & ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

    Adonis Lewis II (he/him) is the Communication & Engagement Coordinator for The Connectivity Project, bringing nearly two decades of experience in advocacy, storytelling, and community-building. A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The University of Cape Town, South Africa, Adonis is a lifelong champion for equity who uses his voice and lived experience to uplift marginalized communities, foster authentic connection, and drive systems-level change.

    Rooted in purpose, Adonis is committed to creating spaces of safety, dignity, and transformation—especially for those historically excluded from representation, resources, and power.
